This is some peer review that I had done to one of my peers drafts for an essay. Peer review this year has been very different than any I have done before. I never really realized how helpful and important peer review could be for yourself and the persons paper you are reviewing. When I went through James paper I made sure to think of ideas that would help strengthen his writing. I suggested that he add some ideas in and explain certain areas more so that the reader can understand better. I tried to help him with his thesis by going through the rest of his paper and figuring out what his main ideas were, to then help him add those to his thesis. I feel like making a thesis can be hard to do in the beginning because most of the time people aren’t completely sure how the rest of their paper will turn out. I know that happens to me and I normally have to go back and fix my thesis throughout my writing. I also tried to offer some advice on just general grammar mistakes and just reminded him to look back over it because it is easy to miss little mistakes when reading over your own writing.
